Job description:
We're looking for three Social Media Editors to join us in our new branch office in London. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker with polished writing flare and a passion for using social and content marketing to generate brand awareness and leads.
Responsibilities:
* Write, edit and proofread news reports, feature stories and opinion articles on the latest topics about China based on the needs of specific audiences.
* Update and manage China.org.cn’s social media accounts by monitoring various sources on a daily basis.
* Drive and increase social sharing of our content to help increase the reach and visibility of our social media accounts and the values of our organization.
* Develop social media strategies and integrated marketing campaigns aligned with potential business goals.
* Share and educate team members about key skills.
* Assist in the development of metrics to evaluate work effectiveness and write work reports.
* Plan and execute seminars, cultural activities, marketing campaigns and other programs by collaborating with local and Chinese partners.
The successful candidate must:
* Be a native English speaker with good mastery of Chinese, or be a native Chinese speaker with good mastery of English.
* Have strong writing and editing skills.
* Have a university degree or equivalent professional qualification, ideally in Chinese or journalism.
* Be a self-starter, a team player and able to meet deadlines.
* Experience in writing, editing and producing print or online content.
* In-depth knowledge of social media platforms and an understanding of their application to journalism.
* Have a good news sense and good knowledge about China.
* Be computer literate on Windows-based systems like Office, Photoshop.
The preferred candidate will have:
* Rich, proactive and creative ideas for content that will help expand our reach while engaging our target audience.
* Good sense of social media trends.
* Ability to plan and execute projects across digital, social and mobile platforms.
* Experience in China or a profound knowledge about China.
* Ability of graphic design and video editing.

* Proofreading, editing, reporting and writing news reports, feature stories, and opinion articles.
* Assisting in editorial decision-making, including project planning, story selection and page design.
* Helping to train translators and reporters.
The successful candidate must:
* Be a native English speaker with strong writing skills.
* Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher, and ideally a professional qualification in journalism.
* Be a self-starter and a team player; able to work to deadlines; have a good news sense and some knowledge of Chinese affairs.
* Be computer literate on Windows-based systems.
The preferred candidate will have:
* No less than one year's experience of writing, editing, producing print or online content.
* Experience or knowledge about China.
