China's top advisory body has decided in Beijing Saturday to
hold a meeting next month to discuss proposals on the Eleventh
Five-year Plan for 2006 to 2010.

Qinglin, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese
People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC),
said at a Friday meeting that CPPCC standing committee will hold in
October its 11th meeting, which will focus on discussing national
economy and social development for the next four years.
Studying on proposals of national economic and social
development for the Eleventh Five-year Plan period is very crucial
to further open-up, coordinated social development and all-round
social progress as the period is the critical time to build up a
well-off society, said Jia.
He said CPPCC will set forth more valuable views and suggestions
for reference of the Party Central Committee and the State Council
in making major policy
decisions.???
