Chinese actress Li Bingbing was named "charity love ambassador" on October 12, 2009 by the organizing committee of the World Expo 2010 Shanghai.
Li, who already holds nearly 40 charitable ambassador titles, has helped raise more than 30 million yuan (US$4.4 million) in the past decade, benefiting 3,000 people, QQ.com reports.
Receiving her latest ambassador certificate at a ceremony in Beijing, Li said that she will try to do more.
For a start, Li unveiled her own charity campaign, entitled "LOVE - Responsible Life", at the ceremony.
The program's first project will be a collaboration with the Climate Group, which is represented by former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, to plant millions of trees to fight desertification in northwestern China. Li hopes the project will improve the environment as well as the life of local residents.
