Chen Kun in gangster style [CRI] |
Mainland actor Chen Kun, usually a man of melancholy on screen, adopts a gangster style in this photo spread in Men's Uno, a bi-monthly Chinese men fashion magazine.
Chen Kun has signed up director Jiang Wen's stellar film "Let the Bullets Fly," co-starring alongside a host of A-listers including Jiang Wen, Chow Yun Fat, Carina Lau and comedian Ge You.
In the story, set in the warlord period of the early 20th Century, Chen Kun plays a protégée of local tyrant Chou Yun Fat, who is on a collision course with another gang led by Jiang Wen.
Actor Chen Kun has honed his craft with a slew of characters, from Chiang Ching-kuo in domestic blockbuster "The Founding of A Republic" and an ancient general in Gordon Chan's "Painted Skin," to a blue-blooded heir in historical drama series "Gu Meng" (or "Remembrance of Dreams Past") and a rustic gangster in his latest project.
His constantly varying roles have surprised critics and audiences alike.
The versatile young actor also juggles his movie roles with a singing career. He will release his new album in December.
