Ricky Gervais won't tie the knot because he doesn't believe in God.
The comedian - who lives with Jane Fallon, a producer and novelist - said they'd never gotten married because they weren't religious and had never felt the need to make it official after 25 years.
He said: "I don't see the point. We are married for all intents and purposes, everything's shared, and actually our fake marriage has lasted longer than a real one... but there's no point in us having an actual ceremony before the eyes of God because there is no God."
The 48-year-old star of 'The Office' also admitted he was a huge slob so had to work hard to keep off the pounds, but denied he only exercised to fit in with his Hollywood friends.
He told the Sunday Times newspaper: "Because if I didn't do that I'd be a massive ball of gout. It's not because of LA, no. Even if I was skinny my role would still be middle-aged chumps."
The only thing he would change about his body if he could, was his beard.
He said: "I wish my beard didn't come through grey and ginger."
Apart from that the Golden Globes host said life with partner Jane was pretty stress-free.
He said: "I've got to the point now where if so much as a letter comes through the door... it's like, 'uh'. The cat was sick on the carpet this morning. That's like, 'uh.' "
