The English-language film "The Tree " conducted by Julie Bertucelli will seal the Cannes film festival on the closing night ceremonies on May 23, the organizers announced Thursday.
Based on Judy Pascoe's novel "Our Father Who Art in the Tree," the film was shot in Australia and starred by last Cannes festival 's Best Actress Charlotte Gainsbourg with Marton Csokas and Aden Young.
The drama, telling story about a family mourning the death of their father, was the second feature film by documentary director Bertucelli.
Her first feature of "Since Otar Left" won a prize at the 2004 Cesar Awards, another famous national film award of France.
The "Robin Hood" by Director Ridley Scott, starring Russell Crowe, will draw curtain of the 63rd Cannes Festival on May 12. Ten days later, it will be the actress Kristin Scott Thomas who is to host the closing night.
