The nominations for the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards have been announced.

Lady Gaga has scored a record-breaking 13 nominations, including Best Pop Video, Best Female Video and Best Dance Music Video for her mega hit "Bad Romance".
And not only has she set a new bar for total nominations, Gaga has also become the first female artist nominated for two different clips in the coveted Video of the Year category for "Bad Romance" and "Telephone".
Eminem is this year's most-nominated male artist, racking up eight nominations including Best Male Video, and Video of the Year for "Not Afraid".
The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards will air live from Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on September 12.
