Country star Keith Urban performed songs from his new album “Get Closer” at train stations, according to media reports Wednesday.
The new album came out Tuesday and Urban made "surprise" stops at New York's Penn station and Philadelphia's 30th Street station. The singer also played an acoustic set aboard the train itself.
Urban played a mix of new and old songs as fans screamed his name and stomped along. Playing solo with just a guitar for the set, he got a special local cheer when he briefly sampled "Philadelphia Freedom."
After playing a handful of old hits and new singles, Urban teased, "I want to thank you all for missing your train today."
"Get Closer" is now in stores.
