China Books (www.amazon.com/chinabooks) has flourished as a third-party seller on Amazon.com, the world's largest Internet-based retailer, since it began operating on the website in 2011.

Operated by China International Book Trading Corporation, the online bookstore has successfully become a "highway" by which Chinese publications have reached overseas markets.

Hundreds of thousands of Chinese books from many different genres and published by 592 different publishing houses have been promoted via this channel. The main categories are books on politics including "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" and "Zhu Rongji On the Record," works on classical Chinese literature such as "Confucius from the Heart: Ancient Wisdom for Today's World" and "Reflection on Chuang Tzu -- Yu Dan," and recent literary masterpieces like "Red Sorghum" and "Life and Death are Wearing Me Out" by Mo Yan, who won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2012.

By joining Amazon's global purchase plan, "China Books" has successfully reached out to readers in 185 countries and regions.

Overseas readers, particularly those from North America, can turn to China Books to enjoy convenient, efficient and high-quality products and services with rich Chinese characteristics. Some enthusiastic readers have posted reviews and opinions on Chinese books in the China Books' section on Amazon.com.

In a review of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China," an Amazon customer who wrote under the username "Paul in Park City" said, "The eyes of the world are upon China…This book, which I just received, contains English essays written by Xi Jinping over the last 30 years and, more than anything else, tells how he thinks and where he comes from. I doubt this is of interest to most consumers, but if you do business in China, or follow economics or public policy, you need this book because, frankly, it's all there is on the man now leading the world's fastest growing (and soon to be largest) economy."

Reviewing popular Chinese science fiction novel "The Three-Body Problem," a user named Eva said, "This is the best the science fiction that I have ever read. Better than the plots of Star Wars and Avatar, it mingles modern physical theorem and human sociology, reality and imagination. The story line leads you in an unexpected direction, yet is very logical. A masterpiece that must read! "

As for best-seller "I Belonged To You" by Zhang Jiajia, a customer named Mo said "Second time purchasing book from the store, the speed of delivery is fast and the quantity of material is every nice. Thank U."

The reviews demonstrate that the online bookstore has been well received by overseas readers. People can find old favorites and discover new books that cater to their personal interests about China on this online bookstore.
