Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA) announced
Monday that in order to support the development of the
service-outsourcing industry and intensify assemblage of industrial
advantages, TEDA has decided to build a base especially for service
outsourcing and to help provide a platform for companies in the
area to share information, policies, scale accumulation and
resources.
Service-outsourcing companies assembled in TEDA mainly engage in
BPO, ITO, IC design, E-commerce, and information security, etc.
Supported by the relevant policies of the management committee of
TEDA, they have gained a certain scale. Construction of the
service-outsourcing base will provide an even better platform for
the development of these companies.
The total area of TEDA's service-outsourcing base is about
890,000 square meters and designed by Land Design, Inc. of America.
The design concept is to build a pleasant work environment and let
people enjoy life in work. There are complete commercial,
recreational and exercise facilities in the park and a circular
driveway develops around building and auxiliary commercial
areas.?Grassy landscapes will also be plotted throughout the
middle of the whole park, and single buildings are arranged around
the floating public landscape in a bid to build a modern
service-outsourcing park that integrates work, life, leisure and
recreation.
The construction area of TEDA's service-outsourcing base is
about 1.52 million square meters and its plot rate is 1.7, which is
mainly divided into three big functions: the industrial area (about
780,000 square meters), apartments and the auxiliary commercial
area (about 540,000 square meters) and finally land for flexible
use and auxiliary commercial facilities (about 200,000 square
meters). Building sizes in various function areas are arranged in
differently, according to their grades, in order to create an
alternatively interchanging space.
Road traffic networks have been designed to design adopt a
circular driveway system with terminals, which ensure rapid
circulation on the main ring road and reduces interference with
organizations in the park. The grades of the roads in the whole
park are clear-cut and clearly stratified, and reflect the design
principles of convenience and high-efficiency. Pedestrians and
vehicles are separated properly in order to prevent the green
landscape from being interfered with by motor vehicles and to
maintain the relative continuity and completeness of the green
ecosystem.
A long green landscape also extends from the central landscape
axial line in the urban public center to the industrial park,
introducing an urban and public space system. Green open spaces and
the arrangement of organizations have been comprehensively
considered to realize functions of the green land in connection
with the ecology, protection, landscape, sports and leisure needs
of the park.
About Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area
Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (abbreviated to
TEDA, with "Taida" as its Chinese transliteration) was established
in 1984, upon the approval of the State Council of the People's

technological development zones in the country.
Located in the centre of the Circum-Bohai economic circle and in
the east of the Eurasia continental bridge, TEDA is a portal to two
such metropolises as Beijing and Tianjin and a vital passage to
Northeast China. So far over 3,300 overseas-founded companies have
settled in TEDA.?Among them 93 are founded by 44 corporations
