Chinese shares opened mixed Tuesday after the government pledged to boost economic transformation and maintain stable economic growth.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index went down 0.02 percent to open at 3,331.88 points. The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.2 percent to 14,079.89 points at the opening.
The Chinese government announced Monday at the three-day annual Central Economic Work Conference that next year the country should coordinate efforts to maintain stable and comparatively fast economic growth and speed up the transformation of the economic development mode.
