Chinese equities close mixed Tuesday with property developers suffering the most losses.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index on the Shanghai Stock Exchange inched up 0.02 percent, or 0.73 points, to end at 3,158.68 points. The Shenzhen Component Index on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange closed at 12,702.84 points, down 65.02 points, or 0.51 percent.
Combined turnover was 254.62 billion yuan (37.28 billion U.S. dollars), down from 265.58 billion yuan on the previous trading day.
Gainers outnumbered losers by 472 to 389 in Shanghai and 528 to 369 in Shenzhen.
