The iPad is finally coming to China. Beijing Business Today reported Thursday that Apple Inc will launch its iPad in the Chinese market on September 17.
Wi-Fi models of the iPad will be available in Apple stores and authorized resellers in 15 provinces and cities.
The newspaper also learned that China's electronic chainstore Suning will start selling iPads in Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Jinan, Nanjing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.
Three models of iPads will be sold in China, with a starting price of 3,988 yuan for a 16-GB model. 32-GB and 64-GB models will go for 4,788 and 5,588 yuan, respectively.
