China Mobile Wednesday announced its unaudited profit attributable to shareholders grew 3.9 percent year on year to 87.245 billion RMB for the first three quarters of 2010.
In a filing to Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited, China Mobile said operating revenue during the period reached 352.643 billion RMB, up by 7.8 percent over the same period of last year; EBITDA was 177.805 billion RMB, up by 6.0 percent.
China Mobile said, their average monthly net additional customers for the first three quarters reached 5.27 million. As at 30 September 2010, the company's customers recorded 569.76 million.
Since new customers were mainly low-usage customers and due to the steady promotion of tariff adjustment, China Mobile said their ARPU and average revenue per minute of usage continued to decline during the reporting period, whilst the voice usage volume maintained rapid growth.
Total voice usage volume for the first three quarters of 2010 increased by 19.4 percent compared to the same period of last year.
