Chinese stocks rose the most in more than 10 months on Thursday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 2.92 percent to 2,615.26 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index gained 3.2 percent, or 359.98 points, to finish at 11,598.93.
Turnover rose to 190.03 billion yuan (29.69 billion U.S. dollars), compared with Wednesday's 146.8 billion yuan.
Gainers outnumbered losers by 875 to 48 in Shanghai and by 1,127 to 183 in Shenzhen.
