Bank of China's Chief Credit Risk Officer Zhan Weijian, who took home 11 million yuan (US$1.73 million) in 2010, tops the list of high-earning executives of China's central SOEs, according to a report released by Genius Finance, Yangcheng Evening News reported.
In terms of average earnings of executives, central SOEs ranked 2nd in 2010, with an average annual income of 327,800 yuan (US$51,614), among five categories of enterprises that have been surveyed by Genius Finance.
Of the 44 surveyed, executives in 27 central SOEs hold shares in their companies, and the average market value of their holdings was 250,000 yuan (US$39,381), the report said.
Half of the top ten high-earning executives of A-share listed central SOEs come from Chinese banks.
