The Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2011, also known as the Summer Davos, opened in Dalian City of northeast China's Liaoning Province Wednesday.
Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao said that China today is a fully open market economy in a keynote speech at the opening of the Summer Davos.
Wen said China is pursuing a win-win strategy of opening-up to increase the openness of the country's economy.
Since joining the World Trade Organization in 2001, China has speeded up efforts to change the way of conducting foreign trade, improved the import and export structure, upgraded the processing trade and vigorously developed trade in services, Wen said.
The forum, scheduled on Sept. 14-16, has attracted some 1,700 participants from 90 countries and regions.
