A fishing boat from south China's Guangdong Province had been missing with six fishermen on board off Taiwan coast, said Guangdong maritime authorities on Sunday.
The 22-meter-long boat, from Shantou City, had been missing since November 23 after searching team was sent Saturday, said an official the maritime rescue center.
The last radio message from the boat was received by family members at 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 23.
Five of the missing were from Guangdong and the other from east China's Fujian Province.
The sea area off Taiwan was hit by strong winds with the speed of 61 kilometers per hour on Nov. 23, the Guangdong Provincial Meteorological Bureau said.
