A female chief prosecutor in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region has resigned after being reprimanded by local authorities for her misconduct.

The Party discipline inspection and administrative supervision department of Hunlunbuir League yesterday made the decision to reprimand Liu Lijie within the Party and local government. She had provoked a surge of criticism on the Internet for apparent breaches to the official code of conduct.
