Good Sino-U.S. trade relations bring fundamental benefits to the peoples of both nations, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao said here Saturday during an online chat with Netizens.
Bilateral trade should be balanced and sustainable, and trade disputes between the two countries should be resolved through "negotiation on an equal footing," not sanctions, he said.
Wen hopes Sino-U.S. trade dispute will ease. China does not not want 2010 to be "an unpeaceful year" for trade and economic relations with the United States.
Sino-U.S. trade disputes have risen after the global financial crisis pressured both sides' economies from late 2008.
