Eleven of 12 members of a family were killed in a car accident on the way to a funeral in Guangning city, Guangdong province, on Sunday.

The only survivor in the family is an 8-year-old girl who is now in a stable condition after emergency treatment. The hired driver also survived the crash. Eleven others, including a five-month-old baby, died in the accident.

After the accident, the local Red Cross and charities immediately raised funds for the medical treatments of the two survivors, collecting 120,000 yuan (US$17,647) in total.
