A teenage girl in Wuzhou in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region was sentenced to eight years in prison for coercing 10 schoolgirls into prostitution.
The teenage surnamed Li was arrested last September after two middle school students reported to police that Li forced them to become hookers.
The two girls, both 13, said they were grabbed by Li and two other girls to pay non-existent debts or work as hookers, Beijing-based Legal Daily reported today.
One of the two girls called her father who called the police.
The other two girls said they were also threatened by Li who had induced them to have sex with some middle-aged men in June last year.
Li confessed that she had forced 10 schoolgirls into prostitution by force. Most of her victims dared not resist or call the police.
