Three fishermen remained missing Wednesday, a day after a fishing boat capsized off Southeast China coast, local maritime authorities said.
The maritime rescue center in Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province, said in a statement that they received an emergency call for help at at about 9 p.m. Tuesday, saying a fishing boat with 14 crew members aboard capsized after being hit by a cargo ship.
Eleven fishermen had been rescued by Wednesday afternoon, it said.
The rescue operation is still going on.
The agency also has launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
