The People's Liberation Army (PLA) established a center for the study of anti-corruption efforts at the National Defense University, in the western suburbs of Beijing, on Thursday.
The research center comes into being with the approval of the PLA General Political Department, which has put it under its Discipline Inspection Department.
The center aims to study theories and major issues regarding the Army's anti-graft efforts, while organizing workshops and lectures on the matter, according to Wu Jieming, director of the center.
It will also work with relevant departments of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the government.
