The nomination for the candidates of the fourth term Chief Executive of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region election started Tuesday, and will end on Feb. 29.
The candidate must be a Hong Kong permanent resident who is a Chinese citizen with no right of abode in any foreign country, and must be at least 40 years old and have resided in Hong Kong for a continuous period of not less than 20 years.
An eligible candidate must be nominated by at least 150 Election Committee members. Each member can nominate one candidate only.
The fourth term chief executive will be elected on March 25, and the result will be submitted to the Chinese central government for appointment.
