Four workers were killed in a coal mine roof collapse in north China's Shanxi Province, local authorities said Sunday.
The accident occurred in a shaft of the Beiyu Coal Mine in Puxian county in the city of Linfen at about 1 p.m. Sunday, trapping seven workers who were working in the shaft, according to a spokesman with the county government.
Rescuers are still searching for the remaining three.
Beiyu Coal Mine is a legally-run coal mine owned by Shanxi Puxian County Hongyuan Group.
