Four local officials in north China's Shanxi Province have been arrested over suspicions of corruption, the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) said on Sunday.
Yan Gangping, former Communist Party of China (CPC) chief of Lishi District in Lyuliang City and former member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Lyuliang Municipal Committee, has been accused of accepting bribes.
The other three officials are Tian Yubao, former deputy head of Taiyuan Municipal People's Congress; Fang Zhiyou, who formerly headed several state-owned coal and gas enterprises; and Guo Xiancheng, former deputy head of a local college.
The arrest warrants were approved by the Shanxi Provincial People Procuratorate.
