Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi said Sunday China's proposed measures on practical cooperation with Africa, raised by Premier Wen Jiabao last year, were carried out in a smooth way.
Programs on the exemption of debts and duties, as well as on technological cooperation, have already begun, Yang said.
"All the proposed measures will be carried out," he said.
The measures, raised at a meeting of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in Egypt, include intensification of technical-scientific cooperation, reinforcement of Africa's financial capacities and increased accessibility of African products to the China market.
