No one died from cold in quake-hit Yushu of northwest China's Qinghai Province, said an official with the Ministry of Civil Affairs Thursday.
Some quake-affected people might suffer from cold at night, but the situation will get better with more tents arriving, said the ministry's disaster relief department director Zou Ming at a press conference.
The number of tents arriving in Yushu Thursday is expected to reach 10,000 and 28,800 more will be sent, Zou said.
Wednesday's earthquake has left more than 600 people dead in the region and about 100,000 people were evacuated.
