A total of 28,000 milliliters of blood has been transferred to the quake-hit area in northwest China's Qinghai Province from the provincial blood center, an official with the Ministry of Health said here Friday.
A 7.1-magnitude earthquake struck the Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Yushu at 7:49 a.m. Wednesday.
As of 8 a.m. Friday, the quake has left 791 dead, 294 missing, and 11,486 injured, according to the quake relief headquarters.
