China's centrally-administered state-owned enterprises (SOEs) had donated 45.5 million yuan (6.7 million U.S. dollars) to the quake-hit northwest Qinghai Province, one part of their relief efforts, the industry watchdog said Friday.
They also donated 500,000 Hong Kong dollars (64,410 U.S. dollars), China's State Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) said in a statement on its website Friday.
PetroChina, the country's top oil producer, had arranged to ship a total amount of 2,041 tonnes of oil products to Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai as of 8 a.m. Friday.
China Southern Airlines, the country's leading carrier, had dispatched more than 10 relief flights to carry fire fighters, reporters, medical teams, food, tents and other relief materials to the quake zone.
There are currently 126 centrally-administered SOEs under the SASAC, including PetroChina, China Southern Airlines and other industry leaders.
