China's largest museum in memory of body donors opened to the
public on Monday in Wuhan, capital of Hubei province.
The 178-square-meter museum displays each donor's photo, as well
a short printed biography, a list of hobbies, and a keepsake.
The opening also marks the first "memorial day for body donors"
in the city.
The museum was built to perpetuate the generosity of body
donation, Xinhua News Agency quotes officials from the city's Red
Cross as saying.
Wuhan Red Cross began receiving requests for body and organ
donations in 2000. So far, it has received over 3,500
applicants.
