The spirit of reform and innovation

This is a spirit of the current times. It is rooted in China's experience of reform and opening up that began in the late 1970s under the leadership of the CPC. This spirit means keeping abreast with the times, forging ahead with determination, and being courageous in exploring new paths.

As pioneers of reform and opening up, reformers must respond to the call of the times and have the determination to cut trails through mountains and build bridges over rivers, thus paving the way for further advance. With the determination to move on and the confidence to win, they will drive reform and opening up to a deeper level. They need to act with initiative, take on responsibilities, and ensure that reform and innovation progresses on a sustainable basis. They are courageous people who will never slow the pace of reform and opening up, and are meticulous in every action they take.

改革創(chuàng)新精神，就是自黨的十一屆三中全會(huì)以來(lái)，中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨團(tuán)結(jié)帶領(lǐng)人民在改革開放過(guò)程中，所形成的一種偉大時(shí)代精神。這一精神的主要內(nèi)涵是“與時(shí)俱進(jìn)、銳意進(jìn)取、勤于探索、勇于實(shí)踐”。與時(shí)俱進(jìn)，就是要以逢山開路、遇水架橋的執(zhí)著，把握全面深化改革脈搏，真正讓新時(shí)代改革創(chuàng)新收到成效。銳意進(jìn)取，就是要樹立堅(jiān)定的決心和必勝的信心，緊跟全面深化改革新步伐，真正讓新時(shí)代改革創(chuàng)新勇往直前。勤于探索，就是要以主動(dòng)作為、勇于擔(dān)當(dāng)?shù)木?，推進(jìn)新時(shí)代全面深化改革，真正讓新時(shí)代改革創(chuàng)新深入持久。勇于實(shí)踐，就是要改革不停步、開放不止步，真正讓新時(shí)代改革創(chuàng)新落實(shí)落細(xì)。
