Intel rolls out the Itanium 2 processor which is for high-end servers and workstations in Beijing, July 9, 2002. The processor rolls out worldwide on the same day.
It is the second in a family of processor from Intel that will bring the performance and volume economics of Intel architecture to the most demanding high-performance, technical, and business-critical computing application.
