Weekly Weather Forecast (Feb. 28 to Mar. 6)

Northwest China: February 28 to March 2, northern Xinjiang will have light snowfall with force 4 to 6 northerly winds and lower temperatures, while western and southern Xinjiang will see light to moderate snow with heavy snowfall possible in some areas. March 1 to 3, eastern parts of the northwest will be overcast with light to moderate snow or sleet, accompanied by force 4 to 5 northerly winds as well as colder temperatures. During the latter half of the week, sunny to cloudy skies will predominate, while western Xinjiang will be overcast with possible light snow.

 

North China: February 28 to March 2, most of the region will be overcast with light to moderate snow or sleet accompanied by force 4 to 5 northerly winds and falling temperatures. March 3 to 5, most of the region will remain cold, with sunny to cloudy skies and force 4 northerly winds. March 6, clouds will move in to bring overcast skies and scattered light snowfall in some areas.

Northeast China: February 28 to March 1, most of the region will have force 4 to 6 northerly winds and colder temperatures, while some areas will see overcast skies and possible scattered snow flurries; March 2 to 3, central and northernmost portions of the region will receive light to moderate snowfall. March 4 to 6, most of the region will have force 4 to 6 northerly winds, while northernmost portions will continue to be overcast with possible light snowfall.

 

Central China; March 28, areas north of the Yangtze River will be cloudy to sunny, while areas south of the Yangtze will have light to moderate rain with heavy rainfall expected in some places. March 1 to 4, southern and western sections of the region will be dominated by continuous rainy or snowy day. Portions of Hunan Province will see heavy rainfall with storms or hail possible in some areas, accompanied by force 4 northerly winds in areas north of the Yangtze River. The mercury will drop throughout most of the central region. During the latter half of the week, most of the region will be sunny to cloudy while the southwestern area will be overcast with light rain.

 

East China: February 28 to March 1, areas south of the Yangtze River will experience light to moderate rain with heavy rainfall expected in some segments, while northern Shandong Province and the Shandong Peninsula will see light to moderate snowfall. Areas north of the Yangtze River will have force 4 to 5 northerly winds, and temperatures in most of the region will drop. March 2 to 5, areas south of the Yangtze River will see more overcast and rainy weather. March 4 to 6, areas north of the Yangtze River will be cloudy to sunny, while the coastal areas will have force 4 to 6 northerly winds. 

 

South China: February 28 to March 1, most of the region will be overcast with light rain, while some of northern portions will receive moderate rainfall. March 2 to 4, light to moderate rainfall will move from west to east across most of the region, with heavy rainfall expected in some western portions. Temperatures will drop. March 5 to 6, the region will be under cloudy skies, while western portions will see more overcast skies with possible light rainfall.

 

Southwest China: February 28, southeastern sections of the region will be overcast with light rainfall. March 1 to 3, most of the region, except central and western Yunnan Province, will experience light to moderate rainfall or snow, while some of Tibet will see heavy snow or snowstorms, and some of Guizhou Province will have hail. Temperatures in the eastern part of the region will drop. March 4 to 6, southeastern sections of the region will continue to see more overcast skies with light moderate rainfall.
