An earthquake measuring 5.8 degrees on Richter scale, on Wednesday shocked Mexicali city in the northwest of Mexico, near the border with the U.S. state of California, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The earthquake occurred at 10:55 a.m. (1855 GMT), with its epicenter 171 km east to Tijuana city.
To the moment there have not been reports of victims and serious property damages
The earthquake was followed by two smaller replicas.
