China has maintained a good order in its agricultural products wholesale market since a snowstorm hit the country's northern areas on Sunday, said the Ministry of Agriculture (MOA) Thursday.
Prices for the agricultural products such as vegetables, pork, and eggs in some major cities including Beijing, Tianjin, Wuhan and Changsha increased following the snowstorm, but they began to decline on Tuesday as transportation resumed after the temperature rebounded, said an official from the MOA.
The ministry has devoted continuous efforts to the anti-disaster work, including restoring the damaged greenhouses and guiding farmers in improving plant management measures, so as to ensure steady production and supply of the agricultural products.
