This city seems to have forgotten about global warming.
As negotiations about climate change heat up at the UN climate summit in Copenhagen, snow has started falling.
The temperature has dropped below freezing in the Danish capital; much to the chagrin of the thousands of COP15 participants stuck waiting for hours outside the summit venue due to problems with the access accreditation process.
And with more snow forecast throughout the week, the COP15 organisers will need to come up with solutions to cope with the freezing masses of people gathered outside the venue.
About 45,000 people have requested access to the conference but the venue can hold only 15,000.
This has created vast queues and intense frustration for those registered to access the summit but who don’t have accreditation yet.
On Monday, some people waited for eight hours outside the venue but still failed to get in. And the metro station by the venue has been shut down for two days because of the number of people crowding it.
