Changchun visited the exhibition on China's achievements
featuring innovation of science and technology on Tuesday
evening.
Huang Ju and Li Changchun, both members of the Standing
Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the
Chinese Communist Party (CPC), together with other Chinese
officials, visited the exhibition held at the Beijing Exhibition
Center.
The 480 key achievements and 800 items or models were divided
into three parts: the prelude, the key achievements of science and
technology for national economy and social development, and the
probe into future.
All the achievements on the display themed with strengthening
the innovative capabilities showcase the contribution of scientific
and technological development to national economy and social
development, fruits of scientific innovation, the breakthroughs
made in high technology and the enlargement of scientific research
talents.
The leaders praised these achievements and expressed the hope
that the scientists and technicians could make more progress while
building an innovation-oriented country in the future.
China's National Conference on Science and Technology opened in
Beijing on Jan. 9. Chinese President outlined major strategic tasks
for building an innovation-oriented country in his address.
