The Vietnamese Ministry of Health confirmed 60 more A/H1N1 influenza cases, bringing the total number of flu patients in the country to 672, local newspaper the People reported Tuesday.
Out of the 60 cases, 52 patients are in the south, four in the north, two in central and another two in highland provinces, said the ministry.
In Ho Chi Minh City, another school was closed on Monday after a student was found positive to the A/H1N1 influenza virus, fearing the spread of the virus to other students there, said the newspaper.
So far, five schools in the city have been temporarily closed due to the A/H1N1 flu.
Vietnam has reported no A/H1N1 related death since the first case confirmed in the country.
