The police published Wednesday a communique saying it will not allow more blocking of highway and occupation of public buildings, so it would use the forces to impede that.
Meanwhile, another group of Zelaya's followers tried to block another highway in Comayagua town in the center of the country.
"There has been an enormous repression at one of the highways blocking, I have been informed that there are detains," local syndicate leader Carlos H. Reyes told local media.
Reyes, who also is independent candidate for the elections on Nov. 29, said that the police and the soldiers used tanks and tear gas to expel Zelaya's followers from the place.
