熊陷饑荒 挖墳吃死人 |
A shortage of traditional food sources has forced bears in Russia's Arctic Circle region to eat human corpses, the Guardian reports. One local said the bears are using graveyards as "giant refrigerators". From a distance, what looked like a rather large man in a fur coat leaning tenderly over the grave of a loved one turned out to be a bear eating a corpse, to the horror of the two women who came across the scene in the village of Vezhnya Tchova. Russian bears have become so desperate for food after a scorching summer that they have started digging up and eating corpses in municipal cemeteries, according to alarmed officials. The bears' traditional food sources?-- mushrooms, berries and frogs?-- have almost completely disappeared, they added.
