China is not fear of any?soccer hooligan during the soccer tournaments of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, said Lin Weiguo, who is in charge of the?soccer events in the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games (BOCOG) on Wednesday.
The BOCOG along with the five host cities of the?soccer events, Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Shenyang, and Qinhuangdao have formulate emergency plans and security measures to ensure the events to be smoothly carried out.
"We will keep off the overseas?soccer hooligans," Lin said in a confident voice.
"We have a lot of experiences since we have successfully held the FIFA Women's World Cup and other international?soccer events," Lin added.
Around 70 percent of the tickets for the Men's?soccer final match have been booked, which will take place at the Bird Nest National Stadium, according to a BOCOG release.
Six competition stadia will be provided for the Olympic?soccer tournaments, among which four stadiums have been completed, Lin said, adding that everything is on good progress as scheduled.
Regarding the transportation among the five venue cities, the authorities concerned will provide flights, trains and buses for contestants and fans. While a limousine, a car, an escort car and a luggage van will be arranged for each team in each city. Up to now, FIFA has booked 17 cars and a van in rate-card service.
The official draw for the tournaments will be held on April 20.
