The government of Macao Special Administrative Region has launched a rehearsal for the Olympic torch relay. This is to ensure the torch relay will be successfully carried out in the region on Friday.
The rehearsal took about three hours and toured 26 kilometers. It mainly stuck to Macao's classic route, known as the "Dragon boat torch relay in the water". The region's Dragon boat athlete Peng Zhishan participated in the rehearsal. She will be one of the 120 torch bearers in the region on May the 3rd.
The Olympic torch will arrive at Macao International airport on the May 2nd. After the relay in Macao,the torch will tour Sanya in Hainan province in south China.
