The deadly tropical storm Nock-Ten landed in coastal areas of south China's Hainan Province on July 29, 2011. A total of 189,033 people had been evacuated to safe areas in Hainan Province as of early Saturday morning after Nock-Ten made landfall over the province late Friday afternoon. This year's 8th storm Nock-Ten, killing at least 41 people in the Philippines, is the most powerful one to hit China so far this year.
