The ankle injury that has sidelined Cristiano Ronaldo for almost a month has not healed and the Real Madrid forward has to seek a second opinion for the treatment, the Primera Liga club said on Wednesday.
Ronaldo will seek a second opinion from a specialist in the Netherlands who treated an injury to the same ankle one year and a half ago, the club said on website.
Ronaldo aggravated the problem in Portugal's 3-0 win over Hungary on Oct. 10 and had more tests on Wednesday that showed he is still unable to return to training.
The club's world record signing is certain to miss Saturday's match at city rivals Atletico Madrid.
