Real Madrid will play a friendly match in the Chinese capital city of Beijing according to reports in the Spanish press.
The pro-Real Madrid newspaper Diario AS published this Tuesday that the Spanish team has reached an agreement to play in Beijing on August 8, 2010 - the second anniversary of the Olympic Games.
Great Gate Sports and Entertainments, the promoter that Real Madrid works with in the Far East is also working on closing the deal on a second match in Asia.
That game could either be played in Taipei or Tokyo.
At the end of 2009 Real Madrid's Director of International Relations - Emilio Butragueno had ruled out an Asia tour for side, saying that the traveling involved would affect team preparations following this summer's World Cup finals.
Now it appears the appeal of the Asian market is too strong for the club to resist and fans in China will have the chance to see players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka and Iker Casillas close up.
