Chile won on Sunday for the first time the Latina Cup, after beating Argentina 6-5 in a beach soccer match hosted in Rio Quente city in the state of Goias, Brazil.
Jose Ignacio Mena scored double, Sergio Argote, Carlos Medina, Rdorigo Sanhueza and Alberto Palma netted in once apiece to enable Chile to win the Cup.
On Saturday, Chile defeated Brazil 11-8, delivering the first home defeat to the Brazilian team since 2005.
Thus, Chile became the third national team on winning the Cup as Portugal had won 11 times and Brazil the other nine.
Brazil, who defeated Uruguay 7-2 on Sunday, finished second, followed by Uruguay and Argentina.
