Toronto Raptors' Chris Bosh repaired a facial fracture on Wednesday through surgery.
The NBA All-Star forward, who had a displaced nasal fracture repaired, suffered the injury when he took an elbow to the face from Cleveland's Antawn Jamison in a game Toronto lost 113-111 on Tuesday.
It is unknown when the Raptors' leading scorer will return to Canada or whether he will play again this season.
With five games left in the regular season, the Raptors have a one-game lead over Chicago for the final spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
