After the break Bremen turned up. In the 49th minutes on the clock Bremen striker Claudio Pizzaro headed home a cross by defender Clemens Fritz to mark the 2-2 equalizer.
Wolfsburg was stunned and kept it tight at the back meanwhile Bremen pressed for the decider. In the 62nd minute, Torsten Frings shrugged off defender Andrea Barzagli to bring Bremen 3-2 up front.
That's not enough for Bremen. Striker Hugo Almeida marked the final 4-2 score with a terrific hammer from close distance to give Wolfsburg the knock out at the 75th minute.
The deserved victory moved Bremen from 5th to 3rd position to sit on a Champions League position while defending champion Wolfsburg stays on 8th position.
Stuttgart and Leverkusen started aggressive and offensively minded to take some point’s home.
In the 13th minute, striker Stefan Kieling brought Leverkusen up front. Defender Stefan Reinartz well placed through ball utilized Kieling to mark his 19th Bundesliga goal.
At the 19th minute Leverkusen was shorthanded after midfielder Tranquillo Barnetta booked his second yellow for repeated foul play.
Stuttgart needed ten minutes to score in superior numbers. Defender Cristian Molinario crossed into goal area to see Cacau who levelled the score with a diving header at the back post 29 minutes into the match.
Leverkusen remained offensively minded but short on accuracy at the finish.
After the break both teams lurked for the decider. Leverkusen staged good passing while Stuttgart seemed happy with the draw.
But, five minutes before final whistle Stuttgarts striker Cacau slotted the late decider from close distance to mark the final 2-1 score.
Stuttgart climbed from 7th to 6th position while Leverkusen slipped from 3rd to 4th position.
Already on Friday, Cologne defeated Bochum 2-0. Cologne jumped from 13th to 11th position. Bochum remains on 14th position.
On Sunday, Dortmund hosts Hoffenheim while Frankfurt meets bottom team Berlin.
